There’s really not much more to say about MAN 1924 that Jake of Wax-Wane fame hasn’t already said (great article, buddy), so let’s just leave it at this: we are proud to announce that we will be carrying the 80+ year old Spanish brand on our shelves in FW ‘13. Headed by Carlos Castillo, “MAN 1924” is a reference to the original brand that his grandfather, Ambrosio Navares, founded back in 1924 under the title “MAN” (we suspect “MAN” is an acronym for “Madrid Ambrosio Navares,” but we’ll have to get back to you on that one).
In any event, you’d be hard pressed to find better styling on wolf forms and mannequins than those done by Carlos himself. This was first noted back in 2011 by The Sartorialist himself, Scott Schuman, when he actively petitioned US buyers to take heed. We heard you loud and clear, Scott.
So, save your pennies and come on over this fall to be one of the first in line to subscribe to Spanish sprezzatura. Andale!
